This delicious Rice Flake Porridge is perfect for people who can't tolerate oats, or for those who simply enjoy a bit of variety for breakfast.
- Low FODMAP
Mix 1/2 cup (50g) porridge flakes with approx 250ml lactose-free milk or water. Add a pinch of salt or low FODMAP sweetener as desired. Do not cover. Microwave on full power for 3 minutes. Stir. Cook for a further 1 minute on half power, stir and repeat two to three times or until cooked. Cooking times may vary according to microwave wattage.
Pour 1/2 cup (50g) porridge flakes into a saucepan. Stir in 250ml lactose free milk or water. Add a pinch of salt or low FODMAP sweetener if desired. Bring to the boil, reduce heat and simmer for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Hint: Add a tablespoon of raw cacao nibs for a tasty high fibre twist.
