Serving suggestion
Miss eating Macaroni Cheese? Now you can make gluten free macaroni in less than 10 minutes! Keep it low FODMAP by combining with a lactose free cheese sauce.
To cook the pasta:
- Place macaroni in boiling water (approximately 4 litres for 350g macaroni). Add salt if desired.
- Stir gently and boil for 5-7 minutes or until preferred texture. Be careful not to overcook.
- Remove from boil and strain and rinse under warm running water.
To make the cheese sauce:
Bring 500ml lactose free milk to the boil.
Blend 25g cornflour with a little cold water, stir into the sauce and cook for a further 3 minutes.
Grate 100g medium/strong cheddar and add to milk.
Crumble one Massel 7’s Vegetable stock cube over the sauce and stir in.
Combine pasta and sauce:
Once the sauce is smooth, pour over cooked pasta. Top with Orgran Gluten Free Rice Crumbs and more grated cheese. Place under grill for a short time to brown the top if desired.
