BIONA Organic Jackfruit in salted water (400g)
Jackfruit is an increasingly popular meat alternative, and a great source of fibre and vitamins. Young jackfruits don't have a strong flavour, so are perfect for soaking up herbs, spices or other flavourings. Once cooked, they have a stringy, "meat-like" texture, perfect for those pulled pork, shredded chicken, stir-fry or taco recipes.
Whilst imitating meat, it is worth noting that it is much lower in protein that other meat alternatives (with only about three grams of protein per cup). It is however a great source of fibre, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.

Organic Young Jackfruit*, Water, Sea Salt, Organic Lime Juice.
* Monash University have tested 500g of canned, drained, young jackfruit as low FODMAP.
Drain the fruit and rinse well. Heat garlic infused oil in a pan and add jackfruit. Add Fody BBQ sauce, Massel stock powder to taste and a dash of gluten free soy sauce. Simmer, stirring every few minutes until the jackfruit is easy to shred.
