INTOLERAN Lipase Mix (36 capsules)

  • £32.99

Lipase Mix contains enzymes that specifically target the digestion of fats. It is particularly suitable for use with high-fat or heavier meals.

Lipase Mix contains a high dose of lipase, the enzyme involved in the breakdown of fats. Because meals usually contain more than just fats, the formula has been supplemented with amylase and protease, which help break down carbohydrates and proteins.

The capsules are easy to twist open, allowing the powder to be taken separately or mixed with water, ideal for anyone who struggles swallowing capsules.

What are digestive enzymes?
Digestive enzymes are proteins produced by the body to break down food into smaller building blocks that can be absorbed. The pancreas produces most of these enzymes, which are active in the small intestine. Each enzyme has a specific task and together they support the normal digestive process. Bile is also involved in the digestion of fats. Bile contributes to the processing of fats in the digestive system.
Various factors, such as age, diet, lifestyle or stress, can influence how active this digestive process is. The composition and quantity of a meal also play a role in this.

Fats
Lipase is an enzyme that aids in the digestion of fats. Lipase Mix contains a high dose of lipase and has been specially developed for use with high-fat meals. During digestion, bile and lipase work together. Bile breaks down fats into small droplets, allowing lipase to work effectively.
Fats are found in meals containing full-fat dairy products, oily fish, meat, oils, nuts and avocado, but also in products such as chocolate, cakes and snacks.

Carbohydrates and Proteins
Amylase and Protease help digest starch and proteins. Starch is found in foods such as pasta, rice and potatoes. Proteins are found in meat, fish, eggs and legumes, among other things.
Thanks to the combination of multiple enzymes, Lipase Mix is suitable for meals that contain several nutrients at the same time. Think of dishes such as pizza or lasagne (fats, carbohydrates and proteins), nuts and cheese (proteins and fats), or chocolate and pastries (fats and carbohydrates).

Directions for use

Take the capsules immediately before or with the first bite of your meal. If you have trouble swallowing, you can open the capsules and consume the contents sprinkled on your food, or dissolved in a glass of water.

Take 1-3 capsules just before your meal, with a maximum of 15 capsules per day.

It is recommended to start with taking 3 capsules before meals. This way, enough of the digestive enzymes enter the body. Should this amount be sufficient, you could try a lower dosage the next time.

The digestive enzymes take effect immediately upon ingestion and remain effective for 30-45 minutes.

These capsules are suitable for individuals as young as 2 years of age.
